PLUIE ACIDE

Ce livre fait suite à l’exposition PLUIE ACIDE qui s’est tenue en mars 2023 à Nantes, au sein de l’espace d’exposition du collectif BONUS. Elise Legal invitait Léa Guintrand à mélanger leurs pratiques au mur, Elise travaillant le dessin et l’écriture, Léa la photographie. 
Pour l’occasion, la curatrice et critique Katia Porro avait écrit un texte présent dans le livre sous la forme d’un feuillet libre.
Le rapport éditorial était déjà présent dans la manière qu’avaient Élise et Léa de penser leur installation. Plus que de documenter l’exposition, ce livre en poursuit les réflexions de montage. En brouillant les surfaces, le livre mêle original et reproduction, et floute les temporalités de production. Dans la logique d’un emballage de bonbon, nous travaillons 
sur la transparence entre l’endroit et l’envers des pages et juxtaposons les couleurs acidulées.

This book follows the exhibition PLUIE ACIDE, which took place in March 2023 in Nantes, at the BONUS collective’s exhibition space. Elise Legal invited Léa Guintrand to blend their practices on the wall—Elise working with drawing and writing, Léa with photography.
For the occasion, curator and critic Katia Porro wrote a text, included in the book as a loose insert.
The editorial approach was already present in the way Elise and Léa conceived their installation. More than documenting the exhibition, this book continues its reflections on composition. By blurring surfaces, the book mixes original and reproduction, and softens the timelines of production. Following the logic of a candy wrapper, we play with transparency between the front and back of the pages and juxtapose tangy colors.
